Claim your place in the Big Hoot Auckland
Local power-houses Vodafone, Professionals – Lovegrove Realty, Resene and ASB have claimed their place in one of Auckland’s largest art trails.
The Big Hoot will swoop through the parks, streets and public spaces of Auckland City and surrounds in early 2018. Company-sponsored 1.6m tall owl, will be bespoke designed and placed on a trail through central Auckland and surrounding areas from March to early May 2018.

Longstanding Child Cancer Foundation partner Professionals – Lovegrove Realty, see the Big Hoot as an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to support the families and children at a critical stage in their life, and have joined the event as Auction partner. “With our ongoing commitment to this cause, we are excited to support and promote The Big Hoot 2018,” said Geoff Lovegrove, Managing Director, Professionals – Lovegrove Realty. “We look forward to helping with the success of this event by raising vital funds for Child Cancer Foundation.”
Helping to bring the Owl sculptures to life will be Resene, who have come on board as paint and colour partner for the Big Hoot, along with the “Little Hoot” schools programme. “Resene is proud to support Child Cancer Foundation and help the artists give each owl its own personality with Resene paints and colours,” said Karen Warman, Marketing Manager, Resene. “The Big Hoot is such a positive way for us all to come together to help those affected by cancer. We’re looking forward to a very colourful hoot!”
Ready to bring their own 1.6m owl to life is ASB, with ASB general manager wealth Jonathan Beale saying it’s a privilege to support Child Cancer Foundation’s Big Hoot 2018. “ASB’s support of the Big Hoot 2018 builds on our existing commitment to Child Cancer Foundation’s important work, which helps Kiwi kids across New Zealand,” Mr Beale says. “At ASB, we’re looking forward to searching Auckland for ASB’s owl in the Big Hoot next year.”

The Big Hoot is presented by Child Cancer Foundation in partnership with the International creator of the event, Wild in Art. After the event, the owls will take centre stage at a charitable auction in late May 2018, with all proceeds going to support Kiwi children with cancer and their families.
